Modified Japanese binding
Technical drawings of a Japanese tea house are joined with an inner binding of Japanese tissue strips and black natural finish cloth corners. The hard cover of chocolate brown canapetta cloth with Yotsume Toji style side stitch has honey-colored cloth interior linings. The bookbinding also features cream-colored Japanese paper endleaves and a hand-lettered title strip.
A Chitsu enclosure houses the binding, covered in the same Canapetta cloth with two bone clasp/cloth loop closures. The interior of the Chitsu includes two cloth-covered pockets, inset into the bottom cover.
